Just a few things I've discovered...
1. Be a 21st Century Educator - Students already know so much about technology, you need to be able to keep up and to monitor.
2. Communicate - With students, parents, coworkers.
3. Collaborate - You have a plethora of knowledge on your campus.
4. Get a mentor - It will be the best thing you can do for yourself.
5. Admit you don't know everything... Ask for help.
6. Make time for yourself - No one else will make it for you.
7. Be nice to the school secretaries and custodians - they can help you with so much!
8. There is no such thing as a stupid question.
9. Invest in a good pair of rain boots.
10. Do not be afraid to fail - That is the only way to learn.
